Aurora wears the blue dress in the movie..

.....but have you noticed on posters and merchandise its always the pink one??

reply

I think she wears pink because Cinderella wears blue in the merchandise. Cinderella should be wearing silver.

I kept wondering which colour dress she would before the book closed at the finale. The pink one got it at the very end.

In the merch it sometimes is blue too.

But her hair is too dark compared to cinderella......They should switch the haircollors. But I think then Cinderella's blue dress won't look good on her anymore. so she should have a lighter blue dress....................ugh!

I kind of understand why they did it this way. But I do prefer the original collours ofcourse.

And ther redesign is still hidious. Way too much differentses. Too much glitter and sparcles. Stupid hair.
Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White and belle look the worst.

I think this redesign thing is mainly for children (little girls) to tell them apart using signature color schemes and dominant pink hues. Girls love pink and soft patterns. Or so the marketing folks think (re: gender stereotypes).

And the hairstyles and other elements are needlessly modernized to align with fashion trends of now. Really disrespectful to the styles according to the eras the older princesses were intentionally modeled on (late 1930s-1990s). I strongly prefer the old school Princesses along with in the films

reply

Well really she wears both colors as the two fairies keeps changing it back and forth from pink to blue and visa versa.

reply

She wears Pink because Disney thought little girls would confuse her with Cinderella who wore blue, back in 1959/1960. It just stuck for years/generations. Plus little girls like pink. I know I did when I was little.

Disneyland Paris has Aurora in her blue dress at the park.
