Best movie of all three versions

That's all I've got to say. Now when I was a kid and DIsney Channel was new and they still showed the GOOD movies, I saw the TV remake first with that guy who was on Full House...and I thought that was a good version, I liked it, it had its funny moments...but then I saw this one, and I thought it was a LOT more interesting. And we saw the new one they did a couple years ago, really NOT great at all I must say.

Wasn't the one with Tim Allen a remake of "The Shaggy D.A."? (Even though it was titled "The Shaggy Dog.") I have no interest in seeing that one, but I agree that this original is probably the best. This works as both a dog movie and a family film. I haven't seen "The Shaggy Dog" in years, so it's time to refresh my memory.

i have the new version,, haven't watched it yet.. never seen the tv one,, but this original i thought is a work of art,, a timeless classic,, i remember Fred MacMurray from the TV show My Three Sons,, and Anette Funicello, didn't she used to do those tv commerials in the 70's

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite
