Location, location, location.....

Does anyone know the name of the village used as a backdrop to "Serious Charge"?
Stevenage is given as one of the locations, but Stevenage is a satellite town built after WW2 and would not have the same quaint look. The church itself and green opposite look similar to St. Mary's in Bedfont Green, Middx. However, as this location is many miles from the studio, I am probably wrong.

It is in fact Stevenage - the High Street in the Old Town area of Stevenage to be precise. Though the shops have now changed names, business use, etc, they are still recognisable if you know what to look for.
