Bradford is correct. It was a different knife, and a coincidence that Sapphire and Horace had that blood type.

OP if you had paid more attention to the end of the film where the real murderer confesses (I'm not going to reveal anything here) you would have heard where the real murder weapon came from.
BTW If you watch films just to find 'plot holes' and continuity errors, then you should join the other 13-year olds commenting on Star Wars, or some such other frivoulus offering that passes for entertainment.
IMDB seems to have become flooded with, mainly youngsters, nit-picking every film to death until the comment boards descend into unreadable drivel. I, for one, am sick of this disturbing trend and prefer to read thoughtful comments, especially on a film like this with such serious subject matters.
