Now I know where Richard Attenborough got the stutter

Just beginning to watch this now and you know how Lew (Attenborough) has that stutter in Flight of the Phoenix? Well here he is in a film 5 years earlier about a plane that goes down and a character with the exact same stutter! Obviously he asked the director Robert Aldrich if he could use it again since he likes it. Judge for yourself:
