How did Phil-fly know where to find Alan's partner?

This was a cheesy sequel and being shot in black and white added to it, but more action and the solid cast made up for it. Holmes as Alan playing Phillipe's friend was such a nogoodnik. The way Phillipe became his father's mistake again was smart. I gave it a 6. Yet, I could not explain how Phil-fly know where to find Alan's greedy partner? He would not know where Alan went the day they went into town together.

At one point Phillipe ran into Alan coming out of the funeral home and asked him what he was doing there, and Alan said something about seeing a friend whenever he's in the area. Because it was suspicious that he was there, he must have concluded that this is where his evil partner must be.
