What happened to Sidney?

OK, I know this forgettable film doesn't merit a whole lot of discussion, but after watching it on MST3k a number of times, there's one question that keeps nagging at me: What happened to Mr. Tucker's right-hand man, Sidney?

As we see it on MST3k, Mr. Tucker has Sidney contact these three losers to help perpetrate an armored car robbery. Tucker lays out his plan to Sidney and his newly hired henchmen. Then, the five men, including Sidney, carry out the heist during their layover in Chicago. Immediately after the crime is executed, the men find a secluded spot to change clothes, remove the police decals from their car, and dispose of whatever evidence pertaining to the hold-up by burying it "in the hole". After this scene is over, Sidney is never seen or mentioned again.

As the film progresses, we find that the greedy and devious Mr. Tucker, now disguised as a priest, has no intention of sharing the stolen loot with any of his partners in crime. He shoots one of his coconspirators, then stabs another. Then he leaves the still remaining henchman, the Rock Hudson wannabe, to take the rap for the robbery and two murders. But again, what about Sidney?

I know sometimes when a movie was featured on MST3k, it would have to be edited down because of time restraints, so maybe there was a scene deleted that explained Sidney's fate? Maybe Sidney was one of Tucker's most trusted confidants, and Tucker just sent Sidney off somewhere to maybe plan for the next caper? Perhaps Tucker killed Sidney just as Tucker killed the other two? Wait, I've got it! Sidney was abducted by aliens from Mars and made him promise to give them a big piece of Sidney's share from the robbery!

Or maybe I'm just ignoring the obvious: The makers of this cheap film just didn't think anyone would notice or care about what happened to Sidney or any other loose ends for that matter.

Great question. I never even considered "what happened to Sydney?"...

Sidney was given his cut of 200,000 dollars. He drove away in the car used to rob the armored car. He was pulled over at a checkpoint and questioned. "What would you do if you robbed an armored car?" He replied, "I'd use an armored truck." The scene implies that Sydney might have blown the cover and his cut of the loot might have been located.
