Check out "The Glory Brigade" about a US unit tasked with cooperating with Greek troops.
I haven't seen it myself yet but some people like it:

MASH stands for "Mobile Army Surgical Hospital"

Before the movie and the TV Series, there was the 1953 movie "Battle Circus" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045544/

Since it was made in the last year of the Korean War, the uniforms and equipment are correct.

No mentions of Taegukgi Hwinalrimyeo?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0386064/

It's a really sweet about two South Korean brothers that get drafted during the Korean war. It's a nice break from American war films. It's really great though, good action and good drama.

If you're interested in Korean films that deal with the conflict between North and South Korea, see Park Chan-Wook's JSA. It isn't set during the 1950s Korean War, but focuses on the Korean border, dealing with the issues that divide the two countries.

As much as I love the'50s Korean War Movies I have to agree with Taegukgi or Brotherhood of War. Very powerful, very graphic and very emotional. Really shows the brutality of the Korean war from draftees to regular citizens caught up in the back and forth surges of that conflict.

It was not made in the 1950s, but "War Hunt" (1962)is a good one. It is a little off-beat but very entertaining. It also was the film that introduced Robert Redford. John Saxon and Charles Aidman also star along with Sydney Pollack who later became an award-winning director. The movie features some young actors who go on to bigger things: Tom Skerrit, Gavin McLeod and jazz great Bud Shank provided the original musical score.

Was going to mention this one - the best of them all in my opinion - stands up well next to modern efforts. No other movie so accurately portrays the intense fear and helplessness of an artillery bombardment.

What about INCHON? Legendary in its awfulness, it's difficult (though not impossible) to find on video. I got to see it only once when it was in the theaters (briefly) in 1982, but I'd love to view it again. Sir Laurence Olivier's portrayal of Gen. Douglas McArthur must be seen! (If not believed.) Lobby TCM to obtain this and show it a few times.

BATTLE CIRCUS (1953) w/Humphrey Bogart, June Allyson, Keenan Wynn. Depicts a MASH unit, obviously in a different way than the later Altman film. Bogart's a surgeon and Allyson is a nurse. Directed by Richard Brooks.
ALL THE YOUNG MEN (1960)Hall Bartlett directed a motley cast that included Sidney Poitier, Alan Ladd, James Darren (he sings the title song), Mort Sahl, Paul Richards and Glenn Corbett.

As somebody already mentioned, "War Hunt" was quite good.

Another possible addition to the list would be a comedy from 1966 called "Not With My Wife, You Don't!" - maybe not everybody's cup of tea, but I enjoyed the antics of George C. Scott and Tony Curtis, with a lovely Virna Lisi thrown in for good measure. Carroll O'Connor was in it, too. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060760/
