A question about the DVD release.

When is there going to be a DVD release of this entertaining comedy from the 'Carry On...' team. At least once a month I search eBay and the internet to see if it's been released, but to no avail. *shakes head in sorrow*

There are two other films(one of which comes from the same CO... stable) that I have waited to see arrive on those shiny silver discs: 'The Card' starring Alec Guiness and 'Raising the Wind' a 'Carry On' in all but name and starring the likes of Kenneth Williams, Leslie Phillips and Eric Barker as well as James Robertson Justice(from the 'Doctor...' series).

These three movies would stop me from wearing out my VHS tapes.

Can anyone provide me with information as to when any of them are going to make an appearance?

John.

Thank you for that most excellent link ian d147. I'm going to order the disc as soon as I can(I want to get it well before Christmas). I'll let you know via this board how I get on.

Once again, thank you.

John,

I can tell you that this film along with 3 others will be released in a box set call the "Leslie Philips - The Comic Icons Collection" on 29th January 2007 (or 5th February if you believe Amazon). The set includes Please Turn Over, Watch Your Stern, No Kidding and Crooks Anonymous. Cheapest price is £9.99 from HMV.

Best of luck.

Andrew

Worth every penny! Worth it alone to see Esma Cannon as the District Nurse in "No Kidding"!

Bought the box set for £13.99 and was very impressed.

I very much enjoyed "Please Turn Over" and "No Kidding".

"Please Turn Over" was more a "Carry On"-type comedy film, while "No Kidding" seemed to be more of a family film.

Favourite performance was Joan Hickson as the drunken cook in "No Kidding".
