It certainly was...As per my previous posts,I can't believe this was released in 1960 USA...
I guess since the "indecency" was conveyed through dialogue -the US censor may of thought viewers may not grasp what was being said..They needed to pay attention.
The last scene was great.
I watched this on TCM last night too.
Pretty shocking for 1960. The 1997 version doesn't focus solely on the trial. I liked that one too.
