what male singer was the actual singing voice for breno mello?

watching the actor breno mello hold his guitar while the song "manha de carnaval" was being sung early in the movie, i am curious as to who was the actual man's singing voice mello was lip-syncing to. thanks to anybody who can answer this question:+)

It is the Brazilian singer Agostinho dos Santos. Like you I was also curious because nowhere in the movie did I see where he was credited. He certainly had a wonderful voice. He was killed in a plane crash outside Paris in 1973.

too bad he was all too fallible, else he could've avoided that plane crash that took him from us so soon [age 39].

Agostinho dos Santos is one of my favourite singers. A wonderful voice!!!

too bad his plane had to crash 40 years ago. the world lost a golden voice.
