A Ferengi Rule of Acquisition?

Lt. Cmdr. Matt T. Sherman: Where is Lt. Holden?
Lt. Watson: He left when the bombs started dropping saying, "in confusion there is profit."

This is my favorite line from a movie that is full of good lines. Just because it would make an excellent Rule of Acquisition.

Maybe the movie was a fave for one of the Trek Writers in Creating the Rules...

If Book was in Intelligence B4 finding God,does that mean He's a Shepherd Spy? (Thank You,Spike..)

Somewhere online is a list of all the Rules of Acquisition. I'm certain I've seen that one! Or a very similar one. If it's not it sure should be. This is a great movie & Holden made an awesome Ferengi for its time lol

Here are the known Rules of Acquisition:

I recall a Ferengi Rule of Acquisition where it states that Greed is eternal. That rule fits well in both peace time and war time.

What I love about this thread is the proof there are more people like me! People who love older classic movies as well as scifi!
I have always had bizarre tastes and loved so many different genres;
scifi
fantasy
period dramas
epics
movies from 1930-1960
westerns
Disney
romantic comedies
action
pretty much everything except horrors or thrillers and I am not a big fan of most war movies where they glorify war.
I have never met someone who can sit down with me to watch Cary Grant then pop in DS9 right afterwards.

Tony Curtis/Holden INVENTED the Ferengi Rules of Aquisition!

Jessica Rabbit
"I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way."

I like that line better than "Never let a good crisis go to waste".
