When the hair is cut...

I get chills while her hair is being cut. She looks so sweet and helpless while yet she is accepting the first of the many humiliations to come with impossible dignity. I want to take those scissors and throw them away and let Audrey's character free!

I'm not bad, I was drawn that way.

Actually, if you read the book, her head was SHAVED. It was described as being "bare as a kneecap".

I do hope he won't upset Henry...

The same is true with Buddhist nuns. It is a renouncement of the material.

I can understand cut short but; shaved! That could not had been healthy to such virgin skin.

"Let Audrey's character be free" it's funny you should say that because the point of her character submitting to the haircutting, was to become free.
