Who the hell knows why this masterpiece slipped through the fingers of the folks at Criterion when they failed to retain the copyrights or simply neglected to put it on DVD after having made a laserdisc (so I've read).
No matter, let's send as many emails to that contact name at Criterion until he/she replies to our request. It most definitely deserves the classy criterion treatment.
could you give a link and stuff and get that set up? i know many who would sign it and yeah its ashame this isnt out at all when it is renowed to be one of the best films ever - but only by the select few who have seen it.
Well, it looks like you're in luck. It is one of the 50 Films in their upcoming 50 Janus Films box set....incredibly steep price though. But I'm sure they will release it individually (along with three or four others that appear in there not yet released individually) some time in the next couple months.
