The greatest anti-war film of all time?

I think quite possibly so, I can't think of any other anti-war statement in film or literature that left me so devastated and emotionally moved in the end. The entire film was utterly moving, filled with humanism and emotionally full.

Not even All Quiet on the Western Front or Platoon can come close to this, it is the greatest anti-war statement I think ever filmed. Kobayashi is one underrated director.

Last film seen: The Human Condition 2 10/10

This movie surpasses both that you mentioned.

This can be compared to Platoon, but All Quiet on the Western Front is superior in my opinion.
