Ending (spoiler)

I thought the mummy wasn't hurt by bullets, yet he is killed by bullets at the end?

It was established that a bullet could drill through Kharis, though it didn't mortally wound him. At the film's conclusion, they blew most of his head away with multiple gunshots. Tough as he was, there's not much you can do headless.

(How's that for logic?)

While I know there wouldn't be much story left, in the Karloff Mummy,
David Manners could've taken an ax and took his head off when he wasn't looking.

I think the mummy died of a broken heart...

I wonder how they are supposed to move after a few thousand years.
There probably was no muscle there no matter how good he was preserved.

Christan Slater lampshaded it . He just unwrapped the Mummy and
threw the bones and wrappings in the fireplace.

It seems to have been shot multiple times and then drown.

Its that man again!!

There seem to be two possibilities:

1. He was shot in the head, which could have killed him in the same way Romero's zombies die.

2. He got hit by bullets, lost his balance and got stuck in a mire where he couldn't get out of and then sunk into swamp.
