The Miracle possible widescreen DVD release.

I have just had this reply from Warner Archive on their Facebook website in answer to my question concerning the long awaited widescreen DVD release of THE MIRACLE:

"We can't release this film until we can remaster it in proper 16x9 widescreen, which in the case of most films is somewhat normal. Because THE MIRACLE was one of the few films shot in Technirama, and was shot during a time when Eastmancolor negative was at its worst in terms of quality and fading issues, there have been many obstacles in the way of getting the film out and in the proper manner. We're still trying to pull this off....so wish us luck!"

So now we know.
