Shadow goof?

At about an hour into the movie when Vicki calls John (Alan Ladd) to warn him that the vigilantes are going to get him, Ladd hangs up the phone and turns to his left to lock the door behind him. As Ladd does this a shadow appears on the table to the right of Ladd. The shadow appears to wave or hold something in the air. Perhaps a sound man with a boom or something? I found it very noticeable and distracting.
