Damages

I'm still thinking about who won the case and who's going to collect damages. Beckenham wrote the libelous letter which was proved false, so I'm guessing he has to pay restitution to Mark. Mark's lawyer said to leave the amount of damages to him meaning, what? That he'll ask for just a pittance. No harm, no foul (?)

I believe the magazine that printed the story is on the hook for most of it. Buckingham might have had an agreement that any liability for printing the letter would be covered by the magazine. I am sure the magazine had much deeper pockets.
