Mickey Rooney made some great ganster movies and this is one of them. Another one was The Big Operator. He was also great in Baby Face Nelson. Another good one was Platinum High School where he is the good guy and Dan Duryea the bad guy.

They did. This is one movie that was tough to watch. It's like getting kicked in the stomach. I changed the channel a couple of times, but was drawn back to it; it was too compelling. The atmosphere portrayed was one where souls came to die, not just men.

Many are cold ; few are frozen
