Favorite scene

Which is your favorite scene from the movie?

All is well that ends well

This movie is one of my favorites. I love the scene where Surov apologizes to Lady Ashmore for getting drunk, gives the sad speech about war and gives back her gun, saying 'No flowers..it's November'. Brynner was perfect in that scene. I also love the scene before that when he does the drinking songs for the girls and dances with Kerr.

My favorite scenes are with Yul and Deborah. The Kiss (professing his love for her), dancing at the hotel and his apology for manhandling her and being drunk, finding her at the fish market and taking her down the basement, in the office with the passports, and finally the pregant woman telling Deb "he wants something and you should give it to him" great movie

The scene that Major Yul expresses his crazy love for Lady Deborah. I remember him snarling, laughing and smiling in it. They only kiss once XD

reply

Definitively, the kiss. I think is one of the best ones in movie history.

The scene where the Major hears that nothing can be done to save his horse....excellent movie.

i love the scene where Deborah Kerr is pleading for Paul's life and saying that he is her life. and I also love the part when the pregnant lady is telling Deborah Kerr that she has to give Surov what he wants for the sake of everyone else.

I just finished watching this movie for the first time and I too was very impressed with this scene. He did an incredible job. He is a much better actor than I had ever realized, having only seen him in The 10 Commandments and The King and I before today... I think I might have a new thing for him... :-)

I have to say I was sad that there wasn't a tender scene between Surov and Lady Ashmore... Surov deserved something from her, even just a more heartfelt good bye or something. I was hoping to finally see a proper romantic scene between the 2 of them after from all the build up in both this movie and The King and I... but oh well..

The kiss scene was also done very well, Yull's performance was really great. The way he laughed when he realized what she had come for... Again, he's a much better actor than I had given him credit for!

I was lucky enough to see him as The King on tour shortly before he died.... and he was magnificent then... and I was about 22... sigh....

My favorite scene was little Ronny Howard making faces at the Soviet soldier and the soldier doing likewise to him. Just a reminder that kids will be kids and sometimes adults can find their little kid too no matter the situation.

'Cause I'm Black you think I did it?

.....Brynner and Kerr definitely had it! Too bad they didn't team up more often. The contrast of his rugged masculinity and her cool British exterior is fascinating to watch. You can feel the attraction between them. But they always seem to be in competition to see who will give in first. It's very sexy!
