Best Line

I love the line in which Thayer David says, "I don't sleep. I hate those little slices of death." And only Thayer David could have delivered the line the way he did.

I also was amused that less than five minutes after uttering that line, what happens? He gets killed . . .

There are many great, original lines in this film.

One of my favorite is, "Are we to be abducted every day in Iceland?"

I also love the scene shortly after Prof. Lindenbrook and Alec learn of Goteborg's murder.

Prof.: We will now observe one minute of silence for a great scientist...even though he was a blasted thief.

Fairly mundane quote.

Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see...

Carla Göteborg: Poor Sir Oliver, stuck with a woman. If only you could see your face.

Sir Oliver Lindenbrook: That's my consolation, madam, I don't have to look at it. You do.
OR
Sir Oliver Lindenbrook: A bourgeois trick. So sorry

Oh GOOD!,my dog found the chainsaw

Thayer David was always one of my favorite character actors. He's about the only reason I sit through "The Eiger Sanction".
