Icelandic vs Norwegian
I know Arlene Dahl is of Norwegian decent, so was she speaking in that tongue when she was supposedly speaking Icelandic?
shareNo, she is not speaking norwegian. She might be trying to make it sound norwegian, a few words, like "takk" ("thanks") are understandable, but that's it.
She might be trying to speak icelandic, but that is easy to identify if spoken correctly. If you compare Peter Ronsons language to hers you will hear that they sound very different.
Listen for the interrupted vowel (sje-tta) in Icelandic and the lilt in Norwegian.
