Yeah his films were cheap and somewhat shoddy, but there is no doubt that Cahn after making this, Creature with the Atom Brain and Zombies of Mora Tau, is the real father of the fully dead Zombie and not the hypnotised Voodoo type that came with Caligari and White Zombie.

Throw in the massive influence the IT! Terror... has had on Sci-fi and Ed Cahn can be very much labled an underrated figure in film.

The scenes of the reanimated bodies zombie walking across the countryside definitely reminded me of Romero's zombies. The zombies having an insatiable hunger for human flesh was an important change that really made Romero zombies distinctive and extra horrifying, though.
