Happy Mother's Day!

An appropriate movie on such a fine day.

I Remember Mama is my all time fave Mother's Day movie. I watched that one first today.
This one is about mothers and daughters and relationships. I agree that they weren't good relationships in this movie, but in the end.....
Yeah, you never know what you have got until you no longer have it.
A good message

I'll go "Swiss," but, "Brooklyn" ain't clear & convincing, MF. She cruelly bullies him into the night---to his death. (The production) spends the remainder of the movie trying to extricate the wife from that night. I felt,,,I feel to this day very uncomfortable with this woman and the manifestations the production subjects us to in order to right this woman, to rehab her. No!!! Absolutely not.

& the Nolan character, the cop. It's barely tenable to see him sit in that apartment and smoke his fuckin' pipe while Johnny's blood line, his children are standing there. To hear his brazen request that Johnny's baby should bear his last name is beyond the pale. I expect the wife's blessing, but, not the children's. The girl should have raised holy Hell. At 12? Me? If I'd gotten my hands around his neck, I would still be hanging on.
