You know, it's sad

It's sad that one of the truly great, innovative, influential, and deep works of film art like Hiroshima, Mon Amour merits only two pages of discussion over the lifetime of this board, but fluff like The Hangover Part II generates about 2 pages every 10 minutes or so

That's true but the fact we are still discussing a movie made over 50 years ago shows that great art will stand the test of time, no one will be talking about or wanting to watch Hangover II in a few months let alone years.

Hangover is a a popular and recent movie,it's natural be in the memorie of the people, who will talk about it...old movies not so much if they didn't enjoyed the kind of Giant hype that Casablanca or Gone with the wind had, that still make them be remerberd by the new genarations.
