Molly McCarthy

Leonard Maltin only gave this movie one and half stars, but I think it's just as good as some of the better-known "heist movies" of the 50s. This is partly due to the part of Ann, played by Molly McCarthy--whom I'd never heard of before. I thought she had a great deal of charisma and was pretty cute in a "girl-nextdoor" sort of way. I kind of wonder why she never made a bigger splash in the movies. If anybody has any information on her that's not already available on the IMDb, I'd be grateful to hear it. Thanks.

Yeah, Ann seemed hollow and whiny at first. But she really grew on me.

Those eyes!

I was really sad when Ann bought it, even though I saw it coming.

I knew it would be all downhill for the heist and for George from that point on.

No, I only know what's on the IMDB page for her.

She's been in other movies as late as 1984 (Flamingo Kid).

Guessing she would've been about 20 when making the Robbery film in 1959, she'd have been 45 in 1984 then and about 77 now.

A quick net search only turned up the IMDB page:

Good luck in your search.

If you find anything out, please share it here, OK?
