The Kahuna would have been between 30-35 in this role. He served in the Korea War as a pilot and though would have been young it was not like WWII where it was a full draft. If he flew in the war he was probably 20 to maybe 25 in 1950 so that would make him either almost 30 or nearly 35. Hence, he would have been about a decade older than the crew.
shareI thought about that, but he just seemed out of place in the film that revolved around a much younger set of people. It wouldn't seem like a man that age, during that time period, would be living like that.
