I have just 2 questions- when is it going to be released on dvd, and when is TCM going to finally play this again?

got TCM and just in time to see this wonderful film for the 1st time in about 20 years. This is what a comedy should be! Everyone in this film is terrific,
especially Glenn Ford. I put it right up there close to my favorite comedy of all time, " It Happened One Night ".

Is it my imagination or is there an in joke regarding THE BIG HEAT, which is one of Ford's best movies? Wessell and Landau threaten Reynolds with hot coffeee in her ear. In TBH Lee Marvin throws hot coffee in Gloria Grahame's face and later she gives it right back to him.
Good cast, awfully contrived plot.
Oh, by the way, my father who died earlier this year went to school with Ford. None of Dad's Army buddies believed Dad's stories. "How could any friend of yours be married to beautiful Eleanor Powell. Somehow I missed Peter Ford.
