...I'd have to come on here and defend my affection for this movie.Had a soft spot,like many, since I saw it as a kid.Glad to see some love for FSOJD.Sure, it's a cheesy little cheapy, but it invokes a lot of atmosphere. Seems like more of a 40's noir film. I think it's the combination of the creepy organ music,the lighting and the iconic images like the skulls, shrunken heads,etc. that make this so effective.Kudos to Henry Daniell for instantly elevating this production a couple notches with his presence alone.On the flip side...love the rubber knife.

Like you I saw it as a kid when it first came out and have never seen it since, but it certainly gave me nightmares for a couple of weeks.
