I like to see this as part of Hammer's Baron Frankenstein films

I know it's a different story completely with its own folklore, but this particular variation of the story is perfect in the Hammer Frankenstein continuity if it was set after "Revenge of Frankenstein," since that one ends in London. Knox being just another one of the Baron's aliases. Thoughts?

Old thread, but no responses, so...

I couldn't agree more. Despite lacking the glorious technicolour of the Hammer films, this has a real Hammer feel and the presence of grubby characters out for their own gains brings to mind "Revenge" in particular.

Cushing is his usual ruthless, ice-cold yet somehow commendable and compelling Frankenstein character. I even think they deliberately gave him that dead eye just to distinguish him from his Frankenstein role a little bit, it's that close. It goes without saying that I love this film, as well as Cushing's Hammer roles!

Actually, the real Knox had a bad eye. Cushing, a detail conscious actor, made sure his eye was made up.
