I enjoyed this movie more than I expected to. Quite good pre-Star Trek sci fi. The writing could be a lot worse, the acting wasn't bad and it was competently directed. Not a B-movie.
Pretty well done all around.

Also I now have a craving for BBQ chicken.

The MGM Lion in the beginning looks like a lioness with a wig.

The MGM lion did look different. Maybe it was exposed to some of that cosmic radiation.
