Misleading plot synopsis

Fantastic film from genre stalwart Andre de Toth, with the perpetually amazing Robert Ryan and the always-reliable Burl Ives. Loved the snowy landscapes and pervasively gloomy mood.

However, just about every plot synopsis I stumble across gets it wrong. Yes, cowboys and ranchers must put aside their differences when Ives and co. and arrive in town, but nobody does any "fighting" but Ryan's character. The others, minus the girl, simply recede into the background and let Ryan do all of the heavy lifting.

Doesn't diminish a great film, however.
