What is the Time Frame of this Film???

Is it supposed to be modern? It looks like it could be the 1800's.

I think you have the date about right but there was never anything said about when the story takes place. Since there were no lightbulbs, I would have assumed it was before the turn of the 20th century.

Well, since everyone looks well fed, we can assume it's after the potato famine ended. Since there are a lot of men visible--and not in uniform, I also place it well before the First World War.

Going by the carriage that Lord Fitzpatrick drives and the clothes everyone wears, I'd guess about 1900.

Thanks! I saw this as a kid and it was great. Seeing it as an adult really set me to wondering when it took place.

King Brian also specifically mentions the potato famine, so it does have to be some point after that.

Did you ever notice that people who believe in creationism look really un-evolved?

There are no cars, no talk of battles and nobody is in uniform, so it's before WWI.
