When I Count 3, Draw…BLOOD! “Curse of the Undead” Tonight! ME-TV!

Tonight Saturday 10-19-2013 - 09:00pm Arizona Time -on Me-TV!

Find Me-TV on Channel 7.2 / COX Digital Cable 93!!

The genres of westerns and horror flicks collide when a bullying desperado becomes the target of a blood-sucking gunslinger in “Curse of the Undead”!

One mean galoot known as Buffer is antagonizing the family of the town doctor- who is already dealing with the heartache of a mysterious plague affecting the young womenfolk of the area, with no idea what the cause might be. When the doctor himself becomes a victim, his hotheaded son decides that Buffer must be the perpetrator- and, in spite of his sister, the local reverend, and the kindly sheriff, he aims to gun down the varmint- with tragic results!

This prompts his lovely sister to advertise for someone to step up and put Buffer in his place -that place being the local Boot Hill! Though the reverend and sheriff try to dissuade her , she finally finds the man for the job- a shadowy stranger who has some pretty odd ways- oh, like, for example- SLEEPING IN A COFFIN!?

It becomes a battle between Buffer, the fair maiden, the reverend, and the gunslinger- with the lines blurring (thank you, Robin Thicke) with the reality of the existence of the undead on the frontier !

This unusual 1959 vampire flick features some faces you’ll recognize from Me-TV shows- we’ll point them out for you- and, we’ll have a special Sven feature playing off vampires in a rustic setting- that stems from one of the most popular current cable “reality” series!

“Curse of the Undead” saddles up on ME-TV tonight at 10 pm eastern and pacific, 9 pm central, and please check your local listings for when we’ll be on in your neck (see what I did there? Vampires?) of the woods. In Chicago, get a return visit to the “Cult of the Cobra” on WCIU- the U- at 11 am!

I'm watching it now.

Just watched it on METV, cable channel 436 in Jacksonville. Had not seen this rare jewel in a long, long time; while watching I realized the film has doubled in age (and more) since the last time I saw it in 1985.
I enjoyed the picture very much tonight, and am very thankful for the Man in Hat and his crew and the work they do bringing us these classic old flicks.

I'm watching it now on the West Coast. 31 minutes in and so far, it's alright. The plot sounds a little like Yojimbo or Fistful of Dollars (even though both came out after this) - two opposing sides of a town with a mysterious stranger caught in the middle, only this stranger is a vampire (and the actual villain).

I'm surprised someone hasn't tried remaking this movie.
