Spoiler:Sympathy for Robey/The Drink/No Fangs?

Spoiler Ahead:

I really had some sympathy for Robey's plight, but when I saw him drink the whiskey in the saloon and then again in front of Preacher Dan, I could not have too much sympathy for him since his having the ability to drink might also mean he could at least try to eat something, thereby keeping his hunger for blood down. He also could have sought other means of getting his "nourishment". He really could not claim that he had no control over his condition. He clearly could have tried to help himself.

As to some of the information that says he did not have fangs, I just don't buy that. How could he have made the marks on the victims. My opinion is that he did have fangs but, as was done with Bela Lugosi's Dracula character, the fangs were not shown. I know of no vampire folklore that says some vampires didn't have fangs, and I have not seen any source from those who made this movie saying Robey was fangless. If anyone can find something that says different, please let me know.

As I recall, Robey did have fangs in the flashback scene when his father finds him.

Really? I can't wait to try looking at that scene and I hope you are right about it. Thank you. I wish the movie was on YouTube.

Just looked at the scene and didn't see any fangs, but the picture quality wasn't too good, so they might have been there.

Do not like this movie anymore. Silly for portraying vampires as turning into bats or other things.
