This Film ...
seems very similar in storyline to the 1967 film " To Sir, With Love " ( of course that was a drama film instead of a comedy film like this one ) .
Did anyone here notice that too ?
yes. Also similar to a film called Spare the Rod (1961) with Max bygraves, which I think also featured Richard O'Sullivan as the lead pupil.
