A re-evaluation?

Maybe with Franciosa's death CAREER will be reassessed by critics and film buffs. As far as I know, t was the first Off-Broadway play to be filmed. One assumes the political and sexual angles were toned down because of the Production Code, but as it stands, it is still one of the best examples of what a struggling actor goes through. I'm sure aspiring thespians might still be able to identify with some of the situations.

Carolyn Jones gives a great supporting performance as his devoted agent.

This was the best acting I have seen by Anthony Franciosa. He was great. It was in black and white..so we were not distracted by color or cinemascope etc.

Shirley MacLaine looked great with blonde hair.
