Guitar Songs

Does anyone know the names of the songs the guitar player (Alex Hassilev) plays or where I can get the tabs? Thanks in advance!

The Ballad of Timothy Evans is by Ewan McColl.. That's the one that goes "Go down, you murderer.. Go down!"

can't find the tabs though.

The Russian song is a Russian Gypsy song called "Gari, Gari" (or "Gori, Gori" meaning "Fire, Fire" or "Burn, Burn") and it was recorded (in an absolutely terrible Russian/English adaptation/mutilation) on an early Limliters album. Hassilev was a member of The Limliters, a very popular folk group.

I believe he also sung it, in Russian, in a Limliters PBS special from the early 1990's. It was taped live in performance in Atlanta.

Theodore Bikel also recorded the song years ago.

Tabs? Sorry, I can't help there.

A great verse of that Tim Evans ballad is:-

They moved him out of c-block
To his final flowery dell
And day and night two screws were there
And they never left his cell

I always think Johnny Cash should have recorded that song. But as far as I know, he never did.
