Blu Ray includes a HORRIBLE Commentary

I listened to the commentary track over the weekend for this film, and trust me
when I tell you that Shout Factory settled for not one, but TWO morons to
handle it. One of these guys is supposedly writing (or has written) a "book" on
the film; the other is some horror movie fan.

They are flat-out terrible.

Aside from the fact that after the opening credits finish, one feels compelled
to "inform" us that "the credits have just ended." They then proceed to read
off the birth/death dates of some of the actors, then name their various TV and
movie credits (as if fans haven't done this on IMDB). They offer next to no
insights into the film, and are so busy amusing each other, they fail to really
discuss much of what's going on screen. At one point, they start commenting on
scenes we saw ten minutes before.

As if all this weren't bad enough, they then proceed to make statements that
are completely ridiculous, including that the film takes place in "one day" (it's
two days). They also state that the fact that Evers is driving a different
car when he goes body-hunting is a "blooper." They also claim it's a blooper
when Evers' cigarette goes from his left hand to his right (there's a cutaway,
so he could've easily switched hands). On top of all this, they are
convinced that "Bill Cortner" is a "closet gay", and that the whole "monster in
the closet" thing is a metaphor for repressed homosexuality. Absolutely absurd.

The stupidest comment is one of these jokers deciding that "Cortner" has
"abandonment issues" as his mother probably walked out on him when he was young (!)
Yeah, "Bill's" father openly says the mother DIED, and that's when he should've
sold the country house.

Did these clowns actually WATCH the movie? They offer virtually nothing to
the history of the film. Their so-called jokes are lame, and while I realize
"Brain" isn't "Casablanca", they still could've been more insightful and even
more respectful. A total waste of time. You have been warned.
