In the famous car crash scene, Cortner takes off his jacket and sort
of rolls the head into it, then he sort of runs off.

My question: Does anyone think they put a "wig head" in the jacket to
give it bulk, or did they simply have actor Jason Evers run with a
balled up jacket? In all the years I've seen this film, I cannot tell
if there's something in the coat or not. Thoughts?

I've heard they actually used an actress' head.
