I distinctly remember seeing this in the theater with my family in 1959 when I was but a wee lad. I didn't remember that much about it except I fell in love with Carol Lynley. I believe she was 15 or 16 during filming and I wanted to be the father of her child. 

A few years ago I was able to buy a copy of this movie on VHS, sadly I no longer have a way to play VHS tapes so I have the movie with no way to watch it again!

Did the same but with Haley Mills ('Swiss Family Robinson' was it ? :-) )
