Which bit are you referring to.....The Cornish Coast at the beginning or (ahem) London.

If its the Cornish Coast, you should see Dr Bloods Coffin....it was filmed in and around Zennor in Penwith and the locations are easily recognisable. Something more recent is All the little animals witha fantastic Christian Bale.....again in Penwith with views over the Mount.

[YAWN] I live in Los Angeles . . .

. . . Well, not in LA. More like south Orange County, about 50 miles away. But in my neck of the (sadly long-depleted) orchards, I can think of a couple of "iconic" locations.

At the climax of Death Race 2000, the racers roar up to a distinctive ziggurat-style pyramid building, which is the Chet Holifield Federal Building in Laguna Niguel:

I now live about two miles from the building. The area is now fully developed, unlike the way it is portrayed in the 1975 film. I moved from the city that contains the following icon.

At the climax of The Hindenburg, the doomed Zeppelin does not actually crash and burn in Lakehurst, New Jersey (sorry if that is a spoiler for some), but rather at the Tustin Marine Corps Air Station:

Those two distinctive dirigible hangars are quite visible in the film. That base, now decommissioned, is gradually succumbing to business and residential development.
