A coincidence?

I recently saw the movie Doctor X, which was made in 1932, and in that movie they have a character named Dr. Wells, and while it has no apparent connection to any versions of The Bat, I couldn't help but think in this version we not only have a Dr. Wells but one of Cornelia's books is called The Private Morgue of Doctor X.

I don't think it was a coincidence. It's always interesting to follow these little connections/homages etc. between films.
