I saw this movie when I was 13 years old ( yes and I am almost thirty now );and never forgot what a masterpiece it is ,the actress was very pretty and good too ;in fact everything about that film is amazing tho' it is a simple production .I recommanded to anyone who likes to know what the definition of cinematic art is .

I love her and this movie.

Without trying to be too sentimental, but isn't it nice to see that a good movie and a brilliant performance can do that?

I think I will dig out the DVD tonight and watch it again.

I just saw this movie yesterday...and I fell in love with Shura. Zhanna Prokhorenko is just wonderful in the movie, so endearing. What a special actress, what an amazing film.

Very sad news from "justiceforall272". Zhanna Prokhorenko died in a Moscow hospital on Aug.1st(2011) last, aged 71.The achingly beautiful Zhanna is no more and our world is greatly diminished by her demise.Those of us who,in our teenage years back in the 60s, fell hopelessly in love with Shura, are greatly saddened and we feel a loss in our own lives.But the innocent love,idealism and poignant longing portrayed by Zhanna and Vladimir in that marvellous and haunting movie will live forever on the silver screen . Alyosha and Shura will always be with us.
