Only Thing I Would Change Is The Opening Credits ......

.... The opening scene is one of the most moving opening scenes in a film I have ever seen, but it is spoiled by the credits superimposed over it. And did the credits have to be in such extravagant flowing script? Script that does its best to obliterate the scene?

I wish the director had put the credits after this scene, or at least had the wisdom to put the credits in a small "art film" style script that wouldn't block out the scene.

It's a fair point I suppose but it never really bothered me.But as you say a remarkable opening scene. Now the one scene that I found a little over the top was when the crippled soldier was refusing to board the train to go home to his wife. The emotional outburst from the ticker seller always left me feeling a little uncomfortable... but perhaps that's just me.
