tv listing

Hi there,
A few weeks ago I saw that the trilogy was going to be shown over successive weekends on one of the networks. (I sometimes trawl through the schedules months in advance to see what's coming up, and that's how I found them) I thought it was TCM, but having looked through their schedule again up to and including May I can't find them. I thought of Ovation as the alternative but can't find them there either. I know I didn't imagine it because I noted it down at the time so I could view them.

Anyone have any idea when and where?

Thanks.

i noticed the exact same thing and i got really excited! unfortunately, it seems that TCM removed them from their april schedule when they put out may.

they are still showing abel gance's la roue and j'accuse though. so there is still more random foreign film on TCM

Hi there,
thanks for that.

I was going nuts trying to figures out where I'd seen the listings. I could have sworn it was on TCM's advance schedules, but hadn't figured that they'd change them after they'd already put them out there for public consumption. I wonder what made them change their minds with regard to the Apu trilogy. Disappointing. Let's hope they get them back on some time soon.

TCM are such a good source for foreign films, probably the best on cable here in the USA - outside of the specialized foreign language stations that one can pick up via satellite TV. Ovation also chips in with a few good ones as well. I don't know where I'd be without either of them.

Thanks again for clearing the matter up for me.

Tim
