Red sky/blue sky

Ok, so what gives? Whenever we are out on the planet surface, everything is red...the ground, the foliage, the monsters, the sea, the sky...as promised in the title and the main selling point of the whole 'Cinemagic' deal. Yet whenever we are in the spaceship looking out the portholes, the sky is blue (or at least whatever is visible outside.)
