This movie had more cool monsters than any other sci-fi horror flick until the
1982 THING!
This is one of the coolest low budget Sci-fi movies ever. I whish I would have bought it I never see it around anymore.
share95% of the people who watched this in the days of yore, did so on black and white TVs with antenna reception. The percentage didn't really start dropping until the late 1970s. Anyone who had cable before 1975 was in the elite rich. Even a smaller percentage ever saw it in a theater.
And it was hard to discern most of the monsters, much less tell the effects were bad. People were trying to figure out what was beneath the hazy screen. We couldn't make out any monster other than the amoeba on the old TV sets.
