Music

I know I know written by the great Duke Ellington but completely inappropriate for the story - Jazz didn't enhance the power of the story (which movie music is aupposed to do) it drew attention to itself and distracted from the story. As an aside when I first saw it in 1959 I was very much a jazz fan and thought the music was fabulous - perceptions change

I thought the music was great!!! I watched the bonus features on the DVD I was watching, and the music editor (I think that's who he was) explained in a detailed way how Ellington wrote the soundtrack for the film. It was truly an education, and while I've always admired Ellington, this bonus feature really was very impressive.

Agree with op. Music is the only thing I don't like about the picture.
